Specialist Skills Courses provide advanced skills development in specialised areas of TESOL. These courses are for AMEP teachers with expertise or interest in a specialised area and are targeted to the equivalent of Masters level units. Please note that there is a limit of 25 places available in each course.

Teaching English for employment
In this course we will consider the characteristics of workplace communication on the basis of data from real workplaces. We will explore how real workplace interactions can be used in the ESL classroom. We will also consider how workplace training and English language teaching are related and can benefit from each other.
